ARM flexes its muscle:quad-core 2.5GHz processor.

ARM is certainly making some major headlines. Just as soon as Samsung announced its Orion Application Processor based on Cortex A9 design, and globalfoundries is open for 28nm orders, ARM has decided to show-off its latest processor design:The Cortex A15MPcore.

Though dual core mobile processors are definitely not a thing of past, ARM has developed a processor that is certainly ahead of its time-a quad core mobile processor at a whooping 2.5GHz. Codenamed Eagle, the ARM Cortex A15 MPcore processors will make their way into smartphones in the near-future. For now, it is best suited for tablet and Cloud based devices. Expect the mass production and shipment of this in 2013.
